Adsense is an easiest way and trusted way of making money online by doing what you love. Say for instance you are a web designer and you love sharing you knowledge with other, you can create a blog and start posting web design related topics on your blog. Next, you can decide to monetize your blog by applying to Google Adsense account. That is the concept behind Google adsense. Keep in mind that your blog most look professional for your account to get approved otherwise you will get rejected. I’m sure not at 100% though that if you follow the instructions given in this post, you account will get approved.
STEPS YOU ARE TO FOLLOW
STEP 1 :
I advice not to use a free domain for your blog. Free domains are meant for those coming up in web designing. Because they are learning new things, they do use free domains to test their ability. If you have a blog and want to join Adsense, please consider buying a premium domain. It costs around 4100naira/year. You can get a get a premium domain at DomainKing.ng They also give you a free premium domain if you buy a hosting account from them. Free domains given by DomainKing.ng are not free (so to speak) but premium domains.
STEP 2 :
Have you tried to apply before and got an email from google saying that you don’t have enough content on your site/blog? well the first thing you need to do if you want your application to get approved is to have enough content on your blog/website. When i say, get enough content on you blog, I mean good quality content.
I also recommend you have at least 30 articles before applying. Also avoid writing short articles, I recommend each post should be at least 1500 words. Keep in mind that the more the content, the more chances you have to get approved.
Please never try to copy people content and paste it on your blog, you will never get approved. So avoid copying people content. Each article most be extremely rich, make use of images where necessary. You must have the right to use those images too. If your blog is a tutorial one, please try to get the screenshot of what you are teaching your visitors.
Make sure your website looks clean, easy to use. Ask yourself: how will i feel if log onto a site or blog that doesn’t look professional and that is not friendly to use. Definitely you won’t appreciate it and you won’t come back to that site. likewise make sure your site looks good and easy to navigate. Google wants your visitors to come back and click on Ads they display on your website.

In case you don’t know, Google get jealous when they see a third party Ads on your blog. Who likes competition? Nobody, we all want to be in control of the market likewise google. So if you want to be approved, please before applying make sure you don’t have any third party Ads on your blog. They do check that aspect too, so stay away from Yahoo Ads, Chitika or Infolinks Ads… What of affiliate links? I recommend you remove them too before applying. Make sure you get approved first.
If you’ve not yet added Google analytics on your website, please do. Why is it important? It show how serious you are about your website/blog. STEP 9 :
People have that tendency of rushing to apply as soon as they finish some necessary part of their blog. It is normal, everybody want to earn money. But i recommend you wait for at least two month to have a decent traffic before applying. During that period, please focus on how to make your blog known by the public. Having more visitors on your blog shows that people are interested by your content.
Another thing that is also important is to verify your blog with Google Webmaster program. Have you done that already? If not please Click Here to register. Google Webmaster program helps you to track your website critical errors and fix them on a daily basis.
STEP 11 :
Another thing that is important is your sitemap. What is a sitemap?According to wikipedia, “A site map (or sitemap) is a list of pages of a web site accessible to crawlers or users. It can be either a document in any form used as a planning tool for Web design, or a Web page that lists the pages on a website, typically organized in hierarchical fashion”. I recommend you install this plugin called Google XML Sitemaps. It is easy to set up. These are small detail but important. It shows how serious you take your website/blog. Installing a sitemap on your website can help search engine bots to index your website faster.
STEP 12 :
According to wikipedia, “The robots exclusion standard, also known as the robots exclusion protocol or simply robots.txt, is a standard used by websites to communicate with web crawlers and other web robots. The standard specifies how to inform the web robot about which areas of the website should not be processed or scanned”. This file helps you restrict all unwanted data indexation to Google. Place it at the root of your domain. I will write a post on what one should input in the file.
